BIPEC - Business & Industry Political Education Committee

BIPEC is entering the world of blogging for better or for worse.  With the launch of our new website we are entering into a realm that we have never been in before.  The realm of the public.  For many years BIPEC has operated through our members by providing them research, data, and general information.  We will continue to do that very thing, but with the many technologies available to speak to the issues that BIPEC cares so deeply about being at arms reach, it would be a disservice not only to our members but to the public not to make known where BIPEC stands, and to provide information that will allow everyone who would like to make a decision for themselves on many different issues.

BIPEC’s main focus is jobs, pure and simple.  We believe that good jobs, strong jobs, benefit everyone.  They obviously benefit the person who holds the job; they also benefit the company and the employer who provides the job.  With a solid workforce, a company can continue to grow and continue to provide jobs and also increase pay.  Jobs also benefit government, they are an excellent source of revenue without having to increase taxes on the citizens or the businesses of Mississippi.

In the future we will talk in depth about jobs, along with economic development, government regulation, taxes, and a variety of other issues.  Please feel free to comment on any of the blogs that we post here on our BIPEC website.  We look forward to the dialogue that will take place, and hopefully through this dialogue we might find answers that will benefit the citizens, business, and industry in Mississippi.
